The Board of Directors of The Optical Society (OSA) elected Johannes de Boer a Fellow of the Society during their 19 October 2016 meeting in Rochester, New York, USA. He is being recognized “For contributions to the fundamental understanding and development of optical coherence tomography, in particular polarization sensitive and spectral domain OCT, which has led to a more than 100 fold improvement of OCT imaging speed.”
